The Maxx is a comic book created by Sam Kieth. Published by Image Comics, it ran for 35 issues from 1993 to 1998. While Kieth was the artist and the main writer, The Maxx has writing credits with Alan Moore and Bill Messner-Loebs. In 2013, the comics were republished by IDW Publishing with new covers by Kieth and new colors by Ronda Pattison. The Maxx also had an animated TV mini-series in 1995 that showed on MTV.
